Dragons' Den

Dragons' Den, BBC Two's business venture capital programme, is currently being aired on Monday nights at 9 pm on BBC2. I have just finished my second series as one of the dragons and have really enjoyed the experience so far. Season 6 was very exciting and I met extremely interesting and passionate entrepreneurs in the Den. Read more, here, about the programme and my life as a Dragon.

About Dragons' Den

Dragons' Den is a programme about entrepreneurs pitching their ideas to secure investment finance and expertise from a panel of business experts or 'Dragons'.

The individuals pitching believe they have a viable and potentially profitable business idea, but lack the funding to take it forward. They pitch their business idea to the Dragons and then answer their questions, on anything from financial forecasts to competitors.

Being a Dragon

In October 2007, I joined the panel in the fifth series of BBC Two's Dragons' Den, alongside Duncan Bannatyne, Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis.

I’m with a very good bunch of people who are, without doubt, extremely successful in their own right so it’s a really excellent panel to be part of. When you walk into a situation where everybody knows each other, that can actually be quite hard for the new person, but they've been really friendly and gone out of their way to help me feel comfortable.
